About us

Hextern brings strategy, design and technology together under one direction

A digital studio built for projects that call for different disciplines, with clear accountability from the analysis through to the build.

What we are

A digital studio built around the problems it has to solve

Hextern works across software development, web, automation, design and consulting. The technology is not chosen before the problem: we start from what the project has to achieve and build the solution and the skills around that.

Not a web agency, not a software house, not a social media profile: a multidisciplinary digital studio, where the technical choice comes after understanding the problem.

  1. Strategy

Understanding the problem, the goals and what is genuinely worth building.

  2. Design

Turning structure, content and interaction into a clear experience.

  3. Engineering

Building a solution that is solid, maintainable and ready to work.

Behind Hextern

Whoever understands the problem also sees the solution through

The person who analyses the problem is also the person answerable for the technical decisions and following the build through to delivery.

Diego Mezzo

Founder & Software Engineer

Hextern grew out of experience in software development and the wish to take on digital projects more completely: start from the problem, tie the technical decisions to the goals, and follow the solution through to the build.

The goals set at the beginning stay the reference point when the technology is chosen, when the interface is designed and when the development priorities are set.

Areas of expertise

  • Software engineering
  • Web & applications
  • AI, automation & integrations
  • Architecture & technical direction

Fewer handovers, less lost along the way, and more continuity between what is decided and what gets built.

A flexible structure

Every project involves the skills it genuinely needs

Hextern keeps a lean structure and brings in collaborators and specialists when a project calls for complementary skills. Direction and coordination stay centralised.

Complementary skills

  • Design & branding
  • Content & communication
  • Marketing
  • Video & production
  • Technical specialists

When a project needs ongoing or more structured capabilities, it may also involve selected external partners.

One point of reference, however many skills are involved.

Bringing in more professionals should not mean managing more contacts. Direction and coordination stay centralised, so the client keeps one clear point of reference for the whole project.

Why Hextern

A digital project works when goals, experience and technology work together

  • Website

A site can be technically sound and still communicate badly.

  • Automation

An automation can work perfectly and act on the wrong process.

  • Software

A piece of software can have plenty of features and remain hard to use.

The problem is not adding more skills. It is getting them to pull in the same direction.

Hextern exists to connect goals, experience and technology within one process, so that strategic, creative and technical decisions are not taken independently of one another.

The vision

Building a digital practice that can grow with its projects

Hextern starts as an independent digital studio, with a vision that goes beyond the initial model: to evolve step by step into a structured company, with in-house skills, a stable team and the capacity to take on increasingly ambitious projects. Growth built without losing accountability, direct contact and attention to quality.

  1. Today

    A direct core

One central direction covering analysis, technical decisions and delivery.

  2. Growth

    A network of skills

Collaborators and specialists progressively widen what the studio can take on, under one coordinated direction.

  3. Tomorrow

    A structured digital company

An organisation with a stable team, in-house skills and settled processes, able to develop and run digital projects at increasing scale.

The aim is to grow without losing what makes today’s model work: accountability, direct contact and a clear direction.
